A septic tank is an underground waterproof container, often made of concrete or PVC materials. Its internal space allows the solids in the wastewater to settle and be partially decomposed by bacteria, thus completing the primary wastewater treatment. And the effluent generated afterward will be discharged into the drainage field for further treatment.
